Counselors
A high school dormitory is managed by counselors, under the direction of the ANGEL building manager. Counselors, who live in the dormitory, have a parenting role, and are responsible for directing, guiding, and supervising the students.
The counselors work together with students individually or in groups, guiding social and recreational activities, including television viewing. Counselors interpret ANGEL policies (standards of behavior).
Counselors identify and act on opportunities and problems, providing support and enforcing discipline as necessary. All counselors are on call 24-hours a day, seven days a week -- just like the best parents.

Peer Counselors
ANGEL students enrolled in the twelfth grade (seniors) serve as peer counselors to new students (juniors). They assist in planning student life activities, enforce ANGEL policies responsibly, and bridge gaps between juniors and counselors.

Long Weekends
Students have long weekends at 21-day intervals to keep in touch with family, neighbors, teachers, and friends.
Parents or guardians are responsible for providing transportation to and from ANGEL. Students are not allowed to have unauthorized possession of or access to a motorized vehicle while under the jurisdiction of ANGEL. This includes storage of a motorized vehicle in the area surrounding ANGEL. Students who bring motorized vehicles to ANGEL will be asked to return home with the vehicle immediately. Exceptions must be cleared in advance, in writing, with the ANGEL building manager.

Computers
Computers are an important aspect of student life on campus. All 24 ANGEL dormitories are linked by computer. Private television sets cannot be used on the ANGEL campus but private videotape players (VCRs) are an important aspect of student life. VCRs are especially useful for language study, with videotapes that teach Arabic, German, Hausa, Hindi, Latin, Portuguese, Spanish, Swahili, Ukrainian, etc.
