The University of NC of the Arts is located on a college campus. There are
separate dormitories for high school students and college students but they
are on the same campus.
A HIGH SCHOOL EXISTS AT UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA WILMINGTON (UNCW) AND ANOTHER AT FAYETTEVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY. ALSO AT NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL UNIVERSITY AND AT NORTH CAROLINA AGRICULTURAL & TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY. OTHERS ARE PLANNED FOR APPALACHIAN STATE UNIVERSITY AND EAST CAROLINA UNIVERSITY.

Our neighboring state of Virginia has two: operating from August to May is
the Southside Virginia Governor's School for Global Economics and Technology.
